There is a mobile food pantry on May 7 from 10 - 11:30 at the Polo Food Pantry. Everyone is eligible!
Celebrate all the mothers and mother figures! There is a Mother's Day Luncheon at the Senior Center on May 11th at noon. Cost is $10 per person. Please sign up by calling the Polo Senior Center at 815-946-3818.

The Polo Chamber of Commerce will be hosting our annual Chili Cook-Off on Saturday, September 28th.
New this year! The Cook-off will be held at the 100 block of West Mason Street. There will be a live DJ, 50/50 Raffle, Carfters & Vendors, and our all-town garage sales will be going on. Chili Tasting will be from 12:00-3:00 PM. If you are interested in competing, registration packets are due by September 19th.

The 35th Annual Chamber Car Show is on Saturday, August 10th! It is from 8AM-3PM. Rain or shine! Come on out and check out all the classic cars!
Each year the Polo Chamber of Commerce recognizes one Polo citizen as the Citizen of the Year and one citizen as the Volunteer of the Year. Eligible nominees should consistently show civic leadership through volunteerism and service to their community. Services provided to the community should be based on volunteerism outside of the nominee’s normal employment duties.
Those wishing to nominate a candidate that they feel is deserving of these prestigious awards must complete a nomination form and return it with a letter describing why the nominee is deserving of the award to the Polo Chamber Board by Friday, August 30th. Forms can be found at www.polochamber.org.
Join us at the Polo Pool for Movies in the Pool on Friday, July 19th! We will be showing The Little Mermaid. The movie begins at dusk (approx. 8:30 PM). Free popcorn is provided by First State Bank Shannon Polo and Scholl Insurance Agency, Inc.
